Tri Live Duathlon

Well it was a last minute decision to go, due to having no vehicle for my bike and not feeling so great last week. My gorgeous other half Tim borrowed an estate car at the last minute so I thought, why not?

Nerves were in play Saturday morning but once there I felt better, though I have developed a habit of waking at 5am and it was no different! (Another M.E. symptom, poor sleep patterns). It was just a fun duathlon so low key, but the first time I'd experienced transition, I wanted to do this event so I could practice them - minus the swim and getting a wetsuit off!

The bike was OK despite the windy conditions but I was tired on the run sections, walked a little on the second one and kept a very nice injured man company for a while! It's good to talk....

Thoroughly enjoyed it and met some very nice people, I live a fairly solitary life in the week when Tim is at work which is centred around how I'm feeling and when (or if) I can exercise. I'm sociable by nature so this can be tough at times!!!

Roll on Blenheim.... :)
