Not a bad start to the month....

After the duathlon I was pretty tired so I had 2 days rest then did a swim and run on the Tuesday, a 14k bike ride Thursday, a swim and short run Friday, a 16.5k bike ride Saturday.....things are looking up! Had two days away then a run yesterday and another 14k bike ride today.

OK, so I'm not quick and never will be, but I feel good (most of the time), and since I took StuWeb's advice about refuelling (thanks Stu!) I have felt much better after exercising. I refuel straight after I get back, then hourly for 2-3 hours. Normal people wouldn't need to doing the amount of exercise I do, but I've long since learned that I have to do things differently!

Still haven't got myself a road bike yet but I'm working on it.... :)

    Came across your blog via your twitter page. Hope you are enjoying your training, keep it up it all pays off in the end.

    As part of my training for UK Ironman later in the year I swam then cycled down to London on Saturday then ran in London yesterday. I am so sore today but the thrill of it is undescribable!

    I'm sure you will love open water once you get in, still ab bit cold at the moment but on a sunny summer morning there is nothing like it.

    If you are over in Stratford look me up at the cycle hire (on the Greenway). Would be great to chat

  2. Hi Vic, thanks for your reply, which I have only just seen, I forget to check! I am helping out at Ironman UK, would love one day to do one myself but for now thats as close as I can get. I'll definately look you up the next time I'm in Stratford and good luck with Ironman, anyone who does one is a legend in my book! :)
